The Lodge and Inn had been closed since July 24, when park officials evacuated guests, along with residents and park workers. The hotels were evacuated as a precaution when wildfires threatened Park headquarters and homes located inside and outside the park. According to Glacier Park Inc. President Cindy Ognjanov, when Lake McDonald Lodge and Village Inn re-open today, all of the company's hotels and motor inns will be open. Red Bus tours will also resume today on the Going-To-The-Sun Road. "The Park is lush and green as always, and our guests are enjoying great weather for hiking, boating, golfing and horseback riding. We are hoping that vacationers who have reserved rooms with us will still plan to come," added Ognjanov.
