The Coalition of Immokalee Workers The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) is "a community-based worker organization" whose members are "largely Latino, Haitian, and Mayan Indian immigrants working in low-wage jobs throughout the state of Florida.  (CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster) A program of certification from Prosoft Learning Corporation for professionals specializing in Internet technologies. CIW instructor-led training is offered by authorized training organizations and academic institutions. ) is demanding that McDonald's and the rest of the fast food industry pay fair wages to farm workers who pick their produce. In April, CIW launched the 2006 Truth Tour and traveled around the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

Last year, the farm workers' rights group successfully pressured Taco Bell Taco Bell Corp., a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc., is a Mexican-style quick service restaurant chain based in Irvine, California, United States. The restaurant has locations primarily in the United States and Canada, but also operates outlets in several other markets.  to improve the wages and working conditions of its agricultural workers. Now the group has set its sights on the fast food industry giant, McDonald's. McDonald's says its reforms go beyond the CIW'S proposals.
