LabelWriter II and II Plus Printers.
These desktop label printers use linear thermal print heads to create fine quality print quickly with little noise. LabelWriter II runs on a 1" wide print head and prints on 1" x 3" labels, while LabelWriter II Plus has a 2" wide print head and prints on a wider variety of label sizes including 1" x 3" labels, 2" x 4" labels suitable for shipping, prescriptions and bar code printing as well as 2" x 2[integral]" labels designed for 3" floppy disks. Versions are available for IBM PCs and compatibles as well as Macintoshes. Call for system requirements. Through a joint effort between CoStar and Avery Dennison, the printers support hardware and software developed by both companies as well as labels designed for their use. Labels print at a rate of 3.5 seconds per label. For any business requiring mass label generation, this software can reduce the time and cost for addressing direct mail.
