These desktop label printers use linear thermal print heads to create fine quality print quickly with little noise. LabelWriter II runs on a 1" wide print head and prints on 1" x 3" labels, while LabelWriter II Plus has a 2" wide print head and prints on a wider variety of label sizes including 1" x 3" labels, 2" x 4" labels suitable for shipping, prescriptions and bar code printing as well as 2" x 2[integral]" labels designed for 3" floppy disks floppy disk
