announced today a strategic alliance to deliver comprehensive knowledge management solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.

The firms will work together to enhance the creation of collaborative scientific environments. By coupling experts in human factors engineering (Lextant) and technology deployment consulting (Entara) with LabBook's leading electronic laboratory technology, the firms intend on advancing scientific knowledge discovery.

"In today's environment, it is critical that knowledge management solutions take the user experience into consideration. Such a focus enables global life science customers to address the cultural issues associated with truly collaborative environments. LabBook has engaged with both Lextant and Entara to ensure our clients achieve the highest level of technology utilization," commented Dr. Shawn Green Shawn David Green (born November 10, 1972, in Des Plaines, Illinois) is a 6' 4" left-handed Major League Baseball player. Entara's leadership in developing and deploying enterprise applications in the life science market will enable LabBook's clients to capture and increase the intellectual capital of the entire organization."

Through this partnership, LabBook, Lextant and Entara will now lead the effort to transition the scientist's desktop out of isolation into collaborative knowledge environments. The three firms are working closely to address the knowledge sharing challenge and are already jointly deploying solutions within the market. In focusing on the scientists in their development activities, the triad is working to enhance the drug discovery workflow, offering solutions that combine people, process, and technology.
