LUNAR Corporation announces lower earnings in the fourth quarter, 1995.MADISON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 1995--LUNAR Corp. (NASDAQ: LUNR) today announced the Company will likely report lower earnings for the quarter ended June 30, 1995 as compared to the quarter ended June 30, 1994. Lunar expects to report revenues of approximately $12,700,000 for the quarter ended June 30, 1995, as compared to $9,279,000 for the quarter ended June 30, 1994. Lunar plans to issue its full quarterly earnings announcement by August 4, 1995. The shortfall in earnings is primarily attributable to higher-than-expected legal costs associated with ongoing patent litigation with Hologic, Inc. Lunar expects continued high legal costs in the quarter ended September 30, 1995. The trial between Hologic and Lunar is scheduled for two weeks beginning August 14, 1995. Lunar develops products for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of osteoporosis and other diseases. The Company develops and sells bone densitometers 1.
