LUKENS STEEL TO INCREASE PRICES ON CARBON, HIGH-STRENGTH LOW ALLOY AND FLOOR PLATE

 COATESVILLE, Pa., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Lukens Steel Company, the nation's third largest plate steel producer, will raise base prices by $10 per ton on carbon, high strength low alloy and floor plate steels, beginning with new orders scheduled for shipment the week of April 5.
 Lukens Steel specializes in the production of carbon, alloy and clad plate steels in thicknesses from 3/16 inch to 30 inches. It is the largest producer of alloy plate steel in North America and a subsidiary of Lukens Inc., a multi-industry, Fortune 500 company. In addition to plate steel, Lukens' subsidiaries supply stainless sheet, strip and continuous mill products; in addition to industrial products and services.
