LUCAS RECEIVES SWITCHPACK CONTRACT FROM GM

 TROY, Mich., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucas has been awarded a contract from General Motors Corp. (NYSE: GM), Detroit, to supply the lighting switchpack for the 1994-model Pontiac Grand Prix, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and Buick Regal. All cars went into production in September. Value of the contract is undisclosed.
 The lighting switchpack is produced for General Motors at Lucas Body Systems' assembly plant in Flint, Mich. The assembly provides direct switching of the head and parking light while utilizing a pulse width modulated rheostat control to adjust panel and accessory control illumination, with custom circuitry providing theater dimming features of interior lights. Lucas Body Systems produces a wide range of driver interface and control products including lighting switchpacks, panel rheostats, instrument panel control switches, column switches, anti- slosh modules and suspension leveling switches for the automotive industry.
