 LUCAS AEROSPACE WINS MULTIYEAR 777 CONTRACT WITH BOEING
 FOR CARGO PDU'S AND LINEAR ACTUATORS
 SINGAPORE, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucas Aerospace has been awarded a contract from Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, Seattle, to supply cargo Power Drive Units (PDUs) and linear actuators for the 777 aircraft. This is a multiyear contract for the first 150 shipset. Lucas Western ElectroSystems, Brea, Calif., will produce and supply both of these products which are fitted to the lower deck of the aircraft.
 Lucas Western ElectroSystems currently produces the cargo PDUs for the Boeing 747, 767, McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and MD-11 and Lockheed L-1011. The facility has also furnished 250 shipsets of cargo PDUs for the Airbus A300 and A310 aircraft.
 Lucas Western ElectroSystems is part of the international group of Aircraft Systems Division, which in addition to its cargo PDU capabilities, designs, develops and manufactures equipment and systems for ice protection, missile casings and actuation, cockpit and cabin windows and cargo handling systems.
