Business Editors

KRIFTEL, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 2001

Five-member Board Assumes Responsibility on June 1,

Following Completion of Acquisition of Sky Chefs, Inc.

LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG today announced the five members of its new international Global Executive Board. The Board will direct the company's worldwide operations beginning June 1, when LSG Lufthansa Service Holding completes its acquisition of Onex Food Services, Inc., the parent company of Dallas/Fort Worth based Sky Chefs, Inc.

Hanns R. Rech, who joined LSG in December 2000, will continue as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Other Board members will be: Patrick Tolbert (Finance), Ulrich Broscher (Operations), Randall Boyd (Marketing) and Horst Bultmann (Human Resources).

Messrs. Tolbert and Boyd are currently with Sky Chefs Inc., serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, respectively. Messrs. Broscher and Bultmann are currently members of the LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG Executive Board.

"With Patrick Tolbert and Randall Boyd we gain two experienced Sky Chefs Executives who will play integral roles as we drive to become a truly global player in the airline catering industry," said Mr. Rech. "As part of this effort, our strategy is to create international management teams on all levels in order to implement a global winning culture within our company."

LSG and Sky Chefs have been selling their airline catering activities under the common "LSG Sky Chefs" brand since 1993, as a result of a marketing and sales agreement. In 1999, LSG increased its ownership in Sky Chefs from 25 percent to 48 percent and, in late 2000, the company announced its plans to acquire the remaining shares of Sky Chefs. The integration of the two companies is the final step necessary to provide consistent quality service to the more than 260 airline customers throughout the world.

Following completion of the transaction, the company will continue to operate under the LSG Sky Chefs brand.

LSG Sky Chefs today maintains over 200 flight kitchens around the world on all continents and supplied 427 million flight menus last year. In 2000, the companies belonging to LSG Group -- including all minority interests -- with a staff of 41,700 achieved total turnover of EUR 3.7 billion (US $3.5 billion). LSG Lufthansa Service Holding is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
