LSE loses 32.33 points.
LAHORE, July 24, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- Lahore Stock market on
Friday witnessed bearish trend as LSE-25 Index lost 32.33 points to
close at 2379.02 points as compared to 2411.35 points on Thursday. Total
turnover also witnessed decreasing trend as it remained 20.741 million
shares on the day as compared to 21.273 million shares on Thursday. Of a
total of 122 active scrips traded on the day, 55 moved up the board, 25
remained in the negative column while another 53 remained unchanged. ICI
Pakistan appeared as the top gainer of the day with an increase of Rs
6.45 in its share price. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited remained the
major loser as its share price decreased Rs 4.22 per share. Maple Leaf Cement emerged as volume leader of the day with 4.010 million shares,
followed by D.G. Khan Cement with 2.274 million shares and Adamjee
Insurance with 2.130 million shares.
