LSB INDUSTRIES, INC. ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF RAY B. ACKERMAN TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 OKLAHOMA CITY, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- LSB Industries, Inc. ("LSB") (AMEX: LSB) announced today that Ray B. Ackerman has been elected to a newly created directorship on its board of directors.
 A resident of Oklahoma City, Ackerman has been in the advertising business in Oklahoma for 45 years and is currently Chairman Emeritus of Ackerman McQueen, Inc. He has served as president or chairman of numerous non-profit organizations and is currently on the board of directors of the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Central Oklahoma, the Allied Arts Foundation, the Kirkpatrick Center Museum Complex, the Saint Anthony Hospital Foundation, Oklahoma City University, Red Earth Indian Center, the Community Council, the OKC Public School Foundation, the Oklahoma Heritage Association and Last Frontier Council of the Boy Scouts.
 He is a Rear Admiral (Ret.) in the United States Navy Reserve and was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame on Nov. 13. LSB is a diversified company engaged in a variety of manufacturing, engineering, marketing and financial service activities on a world wide basis. LSB's principal business activities consist of the manufacture and sale of chemical products for the


explosives, agricultural and industrial markets, commercial and residential air conditioning products, automotive and industrial products and the financial services business. LSB's common stock is listed for trading on the American Stock Exchange.
