LRP Publications acquires HRO World Conferences; launches newsletters.

LRP Publications (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) has acquired the HRO World Conferences and Expositions, including New York HR Week, LA HR Week, and HRO World Europe, from Unicomm (Milford, CT) and OutSourcing Today, LLC (Roseland, NJ). No terms were given. LRP produces "Human Resource Executive," a monthly magazine distributed to 200,000 human resource professionals, "Risk & Insurance" magazine and 120 newsletters in the fields of human resources, worker compensation, education and law. Unicomm specializes in the production of trade shows and conferences in emerging markets while OutSourcing Today produces "HRO Today," "HRO Europe" and "FAO Today" magazines.

In related news, LRP Publications has launched two new monthly newsletters for the education market. "Developing Highly Qualified Paraeducators" includes best practices and management systems to help administrators hire, supervise, mentor and train paraeducators. It carries information on compliance with federal requirements as welt as on accommodation for students with specific disabilities. An annual subscription costs $180. The "Your NCLB (No Child Left Behind) Advisor" newletter includes advice and guidance to help administration and staff understand the basis of NCLB and its related issues, including meeting goals, communicating effectively, and dealing with all constituencies. An annual subscription costs $195.
