LOTTOWORLD MAGAZINE AWARDED CONTRACT TO PUBLISH NEW YORK LOTTERY PLAYERS DIGEST
The company estimates that initial distribution will begin in July, with a monthly circulation of 650,000 copies of the colorful digest available at more than 12,000 New York Lottery retail outlets throughout the state. According to the Audit Bureau of Circulations, the Digest will be the fourth largest publication in circulation in New York, behind Modern Maturity, TV Guide and Reader's Digest. LottoWorld, Inc., a Naples, Florida-based publishing company, has also signed an agreement to publish a similar digest in Louisiana, with a projected initial circulation of 165,000 copies per month. There are also several other pending contracts with major lottery states in the U.S. to publish a similar lottery information digest. The Company believes that the awarding of this contract could have a positive impact on future revenue.
The publication, New York Lottery Players Digest, will be a 48-page, digest-size magazine distributed free at lottery retail locations throughout the state. The publication will offer lottery players information about new and existing New York lottery games, profiles of lottery winners throughout the state, interesting playing tips and strategies and state lottery news and information.
"By having a publication that is dedicated to serving the needs of the players, we are able to better communicate with them," explained Jeff Perlee, Executive Director of the New York Lottery.
"The Digest offers many advantages for the New York Lottery and the New York Lottery player alike." said Rich Holman, president of LottoWorld, Inc. The partnership of the New York State Lottery and Lottery Players Publishing Company, Inc., brings together the largest lottery in the United States (more than $3.6 Billion in sales for FY'95-'96) and the largest publisher of consumer lottery information.
