LOTS OF `STAR WARS' STUFF TO KEEP `FORCE' WITH YOU.

Byline: Glenn Gaslin Daily News Staff Writer

It would take a space-action hero with memory of galactic proportions to keep track of all the ``Star Wars'' toys, collectibles, diversions and intellectual property available. Here's a sampling:

CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.

and Shadows of the Empire. You might also count Wing Commander (I-IV), a series that has little to do with ``Star Wars'' except that it takes place in outer space and stars Mark ``Luke Skywalker'' Hammill.

Internet sites. As long as the computer's on, you could check out hundreds of these created by fans with a whole lot of time on their hands. Comic books. A half-dozen series are available from Dark Horse Comics, and more stories can be found in Star Wars Galaxy Star Wars Galaxy may mean:

 magazine.

Books. Thick novels and ``making-of'' books populate shelves in the science fiction section. Several series, including ``Tales from Jabba's Palace'' and ``Young Jedi Academy,'' spawn tales every few months. Classics include the original novelizations and the early-'80s ``Splinter in the Mind's Eye,'' by Alan Dean Foster.

Action figures. A new line of figures (by Kenner) came out early this year, and many have already been discontinued. This means that they're in demand and very expensive. Figures from the '70s and '80s also can be found in comic book stores, at swap meets or through posts on Internet sites.

Random stuff. You can get models, die-cast metal space ships, Darth Vader coffee mugs and posters, all of which are considered collector's items.

Cards. These include several new series of collectible cards and the Star Wars Customizable Card Game This article is about Decipher's Star Wars card game. For the card game published by Wizards of the Coast, see Star Wars Trading Card Game.

, a mentally straining role-playing game similar to Magic.

``Shadows of the Empire'' stuff. The book by Steve Perry came out a few months ago and was followed by action figures, comic books, a video game and an original soundtrack.

The movies. Videotapes of the trilogy were released last year, but production stopped in early 1996. If you're lucky, you might find some still on store shelves.
