LOS ANGELES NEWSPAPER GROUP NAMES WOLDT NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF CIRCULATION.

Harold F. Woldt Jr. has been named vice president, circulation for the Los Angeles Newspaper Group The Los Angeles Newspaper Group is an umbrella group of local daily newspapers published in the greater Los Angeles area by MediaNews Group. The news coverage of the newspapers are mainly local stories. , which includes the Daily News.

The appointment, effective Oct. 2, was announced by John McKeon John Mckeon (March 29, 1808 - November 22, 1883) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Albany, New York, Mckeon attended private schools and was graduated from the law department of Columbia College (later Columbia University), New York City, in 1828.
, president and chief executive officer of the Los Angeles Newspaper Group.

Woldt has more than 35 years of newspaper experience, most recently as vice president, circulation at the San Jose Mercury News The San Jose Mercury News is the major daily newspaper in San Jose, California and Silicon Valley. The paper is owned by MediaNews Group. Its headquarters and printing plant are located in North San Jose next to the Nimitz Freeway (Interstate 880). .

Woldt has also held other key positions at newspaper companies including that of senior vice president at Newsday, vice president and director of circulation at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, owned by the Tribune Company, is the main daily newspaper of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and all of Broward County. Its main competitor in this area is the Miami Herald, out of neighboring Miami-Dade County to the south. , and vice president, circulation sales and marketing for The New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 Times.

Woldt has also held key circulation, advertising and sales positions with the Chicago Tribune, the Omaha World-Herald and Publishers Circulation Fulfillment.
