The contract calls for Loral to build and deliver 75 CCTVS to Kaiser Electronics, San Jose San Jose, city, United States San Jose (sănəzā`, săn hōzā`), city (1990 pop. 782,248), seat of Santa Clara co., W central Calif.; founded 1777, inc. 1850. , Calif., subcontractor to aircraft manufacturer McDonnell Douglas Corporation, for use with the F-15S heads-up display. Deliveries began in October 1994. Loral's CCTVS will replace the monochrome camera currently in use in the F-15 cockpits, and will capture the pilot's view outside the cockpit, as well as the heads-up display symbols as seen by the pilot. The resulting video will improve postmission analysis and training, and will enable the Air Force to offer the media an accurate video account of tactical missions during peace and wartime operations. This new system is also being considered for use on other F-15 aircraft.
