LOOKING BACK.

CAPTION(S):

The Fry-Rankin Building, on the southeast corner of Main and Third streets, is still one of the major buildings in downtown Springfield. It was quite a large construction project in 1912, just a year after Springfielders rebuilt the Booth-Kelly lumber mill that had burned. Workers are busy setting up elaborate wall supports on the second story. Want to participate? If you have a good image for this spot, send it to Looking Back, The Register-Guard, P.O. Box 10188, Eugene, OR 97440. Or e-mail photos to readerphotos@guardnet.com.
