LONGEVITY MARRIED 60 YEARS: KENNETH AND BONNIE GIBSON.Byline: Simone Schramm Trimm Kenneth and Bonnie Gibson of Carpinteria celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family at Fess Parker's Resort in Santa Barbara. They were married on June 26, 1946, in Las Vegas. In 1954, they moved to Burbank, where they raised their three children and lived for almost 40 years before moving to Carpinteria. Ken was born in Redondo Beach, but his family moved to Burbank while he was young. Bonnie was born and raised in Burbank, and both Ken and Bonnie lived on the same street. Ken enlisted in the Air Force during World War II. Following his return, the couple married. In the early '90s, they traveled to various areas of the United States before retiring in Carpinteria. They have three children: John Gibson of Springfield, Ore.; Carol Martin of Oxnard; and Merry Kropff of La Canada. They also have 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one on the way.
