LONGEVITY MARRIED 60 YEARS: KATHERINE AND KEITH BARTON.

Katherine and Keith Barton of North Hollywood celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with phone calls from their children and grandchildren.

They met in 1941 at Katherine's house, where Keith and a friend had gone to meet her. Instead, Keith dated her. She was later baptized bap·tize

Keith went on a two-year mission for the church in April 1942. When he returned, Katherine was still single. Keith decided to take care of that, and they were married on June 12, 1944, in the Mesa, Ariz., Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

One month after their wedding, Keith received a draft notice and was inducted into the U.S. Army. He served for more than two years in the Philippines and in the Occupation Army in Japan.

She worked for the U.S. Air Corps at Lockheed in Burbank as a secretary, as a homemaker, and is an active member of the L.D.S. Church, where she has held many leadership positions in the North Hollywood and Studio City wards.

They have five children: Kathie of Chatsworth; Kent of North Hollywood; Karen of South Jordan, Utah South Jordan is a city in Salt Lake County in the U.S. state of Utah. The population was 29,437 at the 2000 census. As of September 1, 2007, the population was estimated at 50,109 [1]. South Jordan has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Utah since the early 1990s. ; Kirk of Antelope Acres, Calif., and Katie of West Jordan, Utah West Jordan is a city and a suburb of Salt Lake City in the U.S. state of Utah. West Jordan is a rapidly growing suburb of Salt Lake City, with a balanced housing stock, quality commercial districts and a strong industrial base. . They also have 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ruth and Edward Roth of West Hills celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family on Oct. 23.

MARRIED 50 YEARS: JOYCE AND JERRY RABINOWITZ

Joyce and Jerry Rabinowitz of Encino celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family on Nov. 28 at Sea Shell Restaurant in Tarzana.

Joyce and Jerry met in Highland Springs, Calif., and were married on Nov. 28, 1954, in Los Angeles.

Joyce graduated from Fairfax High School Fairfax High School can refer to:

UCLA University of Carrollton, TX and Lower Addison, TX
 in 1949 and was part owner of Kling Bros. & Fischer, a wholesale grocer, for 30 years. He has volunteered for various groups for the past 20 years.

They have two children: Phyllis Grabot of Thousand Oaks and Russell of Raleigh, N.C. They also have four grandchildren.
