They were married on May 5, 1946. They met in their late teens and kept in touch through letters and telephone calls during college and while Dick served in World War II. Following the war, they rekindled their relationship and got married. Dick served in the Navy and fought throughout Europe, including the D-Day invasion at Normandy. MARRIED 60 YEARS: ADELINE AND JORDAN ROSENBERG Adeline and Jordan Rosenberg of North Hills celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a small, intimate dinner with family. They were married on May 1, 1946, in Hollywood. Addie and Jud, as they are nicknamed, met at a party on New Year's Eve 1945, and had a long-distance courtship until Jud was discharged from the Army in April of 1946. Jud graduated from Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge, Mass. He lettered in varsity baseball, football and hockey. After that, Jud enlisted in the Army. He served in Europe and fought in the Battle of the Bulge Battle of the Bulge, popular name in World War II for the German counterattack in the Ardennes, Dec., 1944–Jan., 1945. It is also known as the Battle of the Ardennes. On Dec. . He then obtained federal certification as an aircraft and engine mechanic. For two years, he worked for Grand Central Aircraft converting military aircraft for civilian use and then worked in the automotive industry until retirement. UCLA University Center for Learning Assistance (Illinois State University) UCLA University of Carrollton, TX and Lower Addison, TX . During World War II, she worked for the Army Corps of Engineers. She became a bookkeeper for Sony-Superscope and later worked as their comptroller. She is also a certified travel consultant. They lived in California for a couple of years before moving to Boston in 1948. In 1952, they moved back to California and have lived in their North Hills home for about 45 years. Addy was director of youth activities for their temple, while Jud was president of the temple men's club. Addy was also president of Knollridge B'nai B'rith Women and is currently president of the San Fernando Valley Council of Jewish Women International. Jud was chancellor of the Knights of Pythias a secret order, founded in Washington, D. C., in 1864, for social and charitable purposes.
