LONGEVITY MARRIED 50 YEARS: RUTH AND SOL CRESPIN.Ruth and Sol Crespin of Woodland Hills celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family on June 26 at the Castaway Castaway Arden, Enoch shipwrecked sailor; lost for eleven years. Ruth worked as a homemaker and later as a medical claims adjuster for the Screen Actors Guild, retiring in 1998. Sol worked at Hughes Aircraft Hughes Aircraft Company was a major aerospace and defense company founded by Howard Hughes. The group was based near Ballona Creek, in Culver City, California, USA, on the Pacific Coast. Hughes Aircraft was acquired by General Motors in 1985. They have spent their life traveling the world, and Ruth was instrumental in creating a new children's playground in Warner Center Park in 2003. They are also very active in the Woodland Hills neighborhood council and with the Encore/Oasis program at Pierce College In 2006 the Library won a national Excellence award. Academics Pierce College offers associate's degrees, mainly in the arts and sciences. There are also certificate programs in early childhood education, social services, dental hygienist, and others. . They have three children: Deb Crespin of Seattle, Rob Crespin of San Diego and Mandy Green of Calabasas. They also have four grandchildren. - Nicole Sunkes MARRIED 50 YEARS: ORTENSIA AND GUIDO GUIDO Guidance Officer TIBERI Ortensia and Guido Tiberi of Northridge celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and friends on April 3 at Villa Piacere Restaurant in Woodland Hills. They met in Rainano, Italy, when Guido came home in February 1948 after serving in the Italian army. He immigrated to Venezuela and five years later, Ortensia joined him. They were married April 18, 1954, in San Joaquin, Venezuela. A year later, they moved to Encino. They later moved to Northridge, and Guido started his own business as a cement contractor. After 35 years in the cement business, he went to work for California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an , for another 10 years. Ortensia worked as a homemaker. They have three children: Diane, Dorothy and Debbie, all of Los Angeles. Guido and Ortensia also have three grandchildren. - N.S.
