Ken and Toyoko Zink of Littlerock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and friends on Aug. 7 at the Juniper Bowl in Juniper Hills.
They met in 1949 in Japan at Haneda Air Base, where Toyoko worked and Ken was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. After a lengthy courtship, mostly by mail, they were married Aug. 30, 1954, at the American Council American Council may refer to:
Toyoko worked as a homemaker.
Ken retired from the U.S. Air Force after 27 years and worked as a middle school teacher for 13 years. They owned and operated an orchard for many years.
