LONDON ANALYSTS VISIT LUCAS NORTH AMERICAN SITES INCLUDING LUCAS ASSEMBLY & TEST SYSTEMS IN SAGINAW, MICH. TROY, Mich., May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- A party of 21 London Stock Exchange analysts are currently touring Lucas Industries plc sites in North America. In the afternoon of Monday, June 1, they will visit Lucas Assembly & Test Systems in Saginaw, Mich., which is a part of the applied market sector of Lucas. They are being hosted by John Berkenkamp, president of Automation & Control Engineering Division, and David Watkins, Lucas Assembly & Test general manager. Other sites include aerospace factories in Cleveland; San Jose, Calif., and Santa Barbara, Calif., plus applied technology sites in Fremont, Calif., and Toronto. Lucas Industries sales in North America will this year approach the $1 billion mark, which puts Lucas among the top European companies operating in the United States. With 30 manufacturing sites in the United States, Lucas is also a major contributor to domestic employment and exporting. Lucas hopes the analysts will gain a positive impression of the technologies and manufacturing skills at its North American sites.
