LOGICON TO CONTINUE SUPPORT COMBAT TRAINING SIMULATION
 FOR U.S. ARMY EUROPEAN CORPS
LOS ANGELES, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Logicon Inc. (NYSE: LGN) announced that its Logicon RDA and Logicon Technical Services Inc. (LTSI) subsidiaries will continue to support combat training simulations for the U.S. Army's European Corps under the final option of a three- year contract worth $25.9 million. The option is valued at $12.3 million.
Logicon personnel are providing technical and operational support to the 13 battle simulation centers operated by U.S. Army Europe. Logicon also supports battle command simulations at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., Fort Bragg, N.C. and Fort Lewis, Wash.
The U.S. Army uses computer driven battle simulations to train soldiers and leaders in combat and support missions. Battle simulations have replaced many field exercises in Europe, providing a considerable savings for the Department of Defense.
Logicon is a leader in providing advanced technology systems and services to support national security, civil and industrial needs.
