LOCKWOOD GREENE ENGINEERS STRENGTHENS STATEWIDE PRESENCE IN TENNESSEE

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockwood Greene Engineers today announced the opening of its first-ever office here.
    The Knoxville office will be the engineering firm's third facility in the state.  Other offices are in Oak Ridge and Nashville.
    "A major goal of Lockwood Greene's has always been to have offices as close as possible to customers," said Richard L. Parker, a senior vice president for Lockwood Greene.  "By coming to Knoxville, we are better positioned geographically to serve our private-sector industrial clients.  We are excited about having an office in a vibrant city like Knoxville."
    The Knoxville office, as part of Lockwood Green's Tennessee-based business unit, will work closely with its counterparts in Nashville and Seattle serving customers in the commercial, manufacturing and process industries.
    The 70 employees working in Knoxville have been reassigned from the firm's Oak Ridge facility, which now serves as home of Lockwood Greene Technologies -- a subsidiary of Lockwood Greene devoted to serving U.S. government clients.
    Lockwood Green's Knoxville facility opened on Aug. 3.  It is located at Cross Park Plaza in Building D, Suite 100, 9111 Cross Park Drive, Knoxville, TN  37923.  The telephone number is 615-539-0494.
    Founded in 1832, Lockwood Greene is one of the nation's oldest and largest engineering architectural firms.
