: LMT LMT left mentotransverse (position of fetus). ) has been awarded a $102 million contract to operate, maintain and sustain the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) for the Department of Defense (DoD) Civilian Personnel Management Service (CPMS). The system is used to process personnel transactions and maintain records on more than 800,000 DoD civilian employees.

"This project involves one of the largest human resources systems in the world," said Peter Rogers, vice president of Systems Solutions at Lockheed Martin Systems Integration - Owego Lockheed Martin Systems Integration - Owego (LMSI) is a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, in the Electronic Systems sector, located in Owego, New York, with approximately 5,000 employees. It was formerly known as Lockheed Martin Federal Systems. . "We are extremely proud of the confidence that the Defense Department has in Lockheed Martin by selecting us to meet its human resources challenges."

As prime contractor, Lockheed Martin will provide systems integration, system operation and sustainment, program management, system maintenance, as well as technology infusion functions. Lockheed Martin has supported DCPDS since 1999, and this contract provides for continued support through 2007. The contract was awarded via the Lockheed Martin Information Technology Lockheed Martin Information Technology (I&TS) (also known as Lockheed Martin Information & Technology Services & Lockheed Martin Technology Services) is a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin that consists of dozens of smaller companies and units have been acquired and  Omnibus Procurement II (ITOP II) contract vehicle through the Department of Transportation.

The modern DCPDS provides DoD personnel offices more efficient, easier-to-use tools for conducting daily Human Resources (HR) operations and supporting customers around the globe. Customers receive 24x7 Help Desk support when assistance is needed. The system provides an easy-to-use graphical user interface graphical user interface (GUI)
