 LOCKHEED APPOINTS RONALD R. FINKBINER
 VICE PRESIDENT-CONTRACTS AND PRICING
CALABASAS, Calif., Aug. 3, 1992 -- Lockheed Corp. (NYSE: LK) today announced the appointment of Ronald R. Finkbiner, 53, as vice president-contracts and pricing and his election as a corporate vice president.
He succeeds Robert C. Johnson, 59, who retired, following a 30-year career with the corporation, because of ill health.
Before joining Lockheed in 1990 as director of contract pricing, Finkbiner was a senior management consultant with the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young. Before that, he had a distinguished 24-year career with the U.S. Air Force. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University and master's degrees in international relations from the University of Southern California and in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
Johnson joined Lockheed in 1962 as a subcontract administrator. He advanced through a series of contract management positions to become corporate director of contract and acquisition policy in 1979 and a corporate vice president in 1985.
Lockheed, headquartered in Calabasas, is a world leader in defense and space systems technology, designing and producing missiles, electronic systems, satellites and military aircraft, as well as providing a wide range of government and commercial aeronautical, space, environmental, and engineering services.
