LOCAL WOMEN: CSUN WOMEN'S WIN STREAK AT SIX.

Sophomore LaJoyce King matched a career-high with 21 points as Cal State Northridge remained unbeaten in the Big West Conference with an 81-61 win over visiting UC Irvine on Thursday night.

CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge  (7-3, 3-0) won its sixth in a row, its longest win streak since the 1998-99 season. Irvine fell to 1-10 and 0-3.

 and had five rebounds, two steals, two assists and two blocks. Jamie McCaa (12 points) and Ofa Tulikihihifo (10 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists) also helped CSUN.

CSUN led by as much as 29 points in the second half with 16:12 to play, and Irvine could get no closer than 18.

CSUN shot 44.6 percent for the game and outrebounded Irvine 45-33 as well as racking up a season-high 23 assists.
