LOCAL RADIO LISTENERS SIMULATE THEIR BEST ORGASM TO WIN
'THE FAVOR, THE WATCH AND THE VERY BIG FISH' TRIP TO PARADISE
LOS ANGELES, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Local listeners have been calling in all week to MARS FM, simulating their best "orgasm" over the airwaves in response to a scene between Natasha Richardson and Bob Hoskins in Trimark Pictures' "The Favor, the Watch and the Very Big Fish." In the hilarious scene that "Entertainment Tonight" has compared to Meg Ryan's now infamous performance in "When Harry Met Sally," Hoskins does a favor for a friend and unexpectedly finds himself at a voice-over dubbing session for a porno film with Richardson.
A contest for the best simulated orgasm will be held in conjunction with the premiere of "The Favor, the Watch and the Very Big Fish" on Thursday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m., at the Beverly Connection Theatres, where several selected couples will dub the actual orgasm scene from the film as it plays behind them in the theater. MARS reports that the phone calls have not stopped since the winner will receive a trip to Hawaii.
"The Favor, the Watch and the Very Big Fish" is an offbeat comedy featuring a cast of unconventional characters. Hoskins stars as Louis, a struggling photographer of devotional pictures, searching for a perfect model to pose as Christ on the cross. His prayers are answered when he meets and falls in love with a beautiful actress named Sybil, played by Richardson, who unwittingly leads Louis to the perfect Jesus (Jeff Goldblum). Louis' new good fortune starts to unravel when he discovers his "Christ" model is succumbing to delusions of deity.
Written and directed by Polish-born, Australian-raised Ben Lewin, the film is based on Marcel Ayme's 10-page story "Rue St. Sulpice" and stars Hoskins, Goldblum, Richardson, Michel Blanc and Jean-Pierre Cassel. Michelle De Broca produced with Simon Perry serving as co- producer. "The Favor, the Watch and the Very Big Fish" is a Films Ariane/Fildebroc/Umbrella Film Production and will be released nationally by Trimark Pictures on May 8.
