LANCASTER - Auditions have been scheduled for seven theater, dance and music productions and groups in the Antelope Valley.

--Auditions for singers and dancers of all ages for the Sixth Annual Film Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Holiday Inn, 38630 Fifth Street West in Palmdale.

Organizers prefer that singers and dancers perform music from movies or theater. Only CDs (no audiotapes) are allowed as accompaniment. Accompaniment with a musical instrument is also acceptable.

Performers accepted from the auditions will take part in the talent contest, judged by celebrity judges, March 13 at the Film Faire at Center Court at Antelope Valley Mall.

Contestants will compete in three age groups: 12 and under, 12 to 17, and adults.

--Cedar Street Theatre will hold auditions for ``Guys and Dolls'' at 7 p.m. today and 3 p.m. Saturday at Lancaster United Methodist Church, 918 W. Ave. J. Callbacks will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Auditioners age 15 and up should sing a short song and bring sheet music, as an accompanist will be provided. They should also be prepared to learn a short dance. For more information, call director Barbara Coates at [phone].

--Choir members are being sought for the Palmdale Youth and Community Choir's Summer Celebration season. Rehearsals are held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. E. Members must be at least 12 years of age. The membership fee is $50.

--Auditions for Antelope Valley College's advanced rock band class Test Flight will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 in the band room at the college, 3041 W. Ave. K, Lancaster.

Auditions for guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboardists will consist of basic chart-reading and improvising. Class members must be able and willing to play in many different styles.

Auditions for singers will consist of performing one rock-style song with accompaniment. A piano accompanist will be provided for singers who have sheet music in the appropriate key. A karaoke track can also be used.

Successful auditioners will be expected to enroll in either Instrumental Performance or Commercial Voice courses.

Test Flight rehearses every Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the college. The band performs regularly around the Antelope Valley and in Los Angeles.

--Men, women and teens are invited to audition for ``Woman to Woman,'' an exploration of what it means to be a woman through monologues, dramatic sense and poetry, from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 18 and 19 at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, 750 W. Lancaster Blvd.

The show will be performed April 2 and 3.

No previous performing experience is required. Acoustic music and dancers are also welcomed. Auditioners must bring their own acoustic instruments or CDs as necessary.

--Three men, ages 25 to 45, are needed for Antelope Valley College's production of Yasmina Reza's Tony-winning play ``Art.''

Auditions will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 20 and 1 to 6 p.m. Feb. 21 in the college's Black Box Theatre, on the southwest corner of the campus, 3041 W. Ave. K, Lancaster.

Auditioners need to come to only one of the sessions and should prepare a monologue of no more than two minutes.
