LOCAL OFFICIALS DISPLAY STAMP HONORING HEROES.

NEWHALL - As parade watchers made their way to Newhall Memorial Park on Thursday, local firefighters and sheriff's deputies gathered on stage to welcome the new ``Heroes of 2001'' stamp issued by the U.S. Postal Service The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) processes and delivers mail to individuals and businesses within the United States. The service seeks to improve its performance through the development of efficient mail-handling systems and operates its own planning and engineering programs. .

Capt. Don Rodriguez of the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita.
