Baseketball: Moorpark JV has a 14-3, 6-1, record so far this year. Moorpark defeated Santa Paula 50-20 on Tuesday. The Musketeers were led by Krystal Lovas, who scored 13 points.

``I have six returning players on my team so I have an experinced bunch returning from last year's undefeated team,'' said first-year coach Rich Bradley. ``We have balance on our team so I get a chance to use everyone.''

The Musketeers are led by freshman Lovas, who averages 11 points per game. ``She is a real aggresive player, she attacks the backboard.'' Bradley said.

Sophomore Erica Noll leads the league in assists, with five per game.

``Erica is our floor leader, she directs our offense.'' Bradley said. Cathleen Leaver led the team in rebounds with nine per game.

``My team is improving a lot from the beginning of the year. They are getting to know each other.'' Bradley said. ``I feel the team I started with at the beginning of the year would loose by 50 points to the team I have now, they have progressed that far.''

Mindy Swanson, who leads the team defensively, was named the MVP of the Moorpark Holiday Classic. Swanson led the team in three-point baskets. Moorpark plays Calabasas today.

Diving: Dive Thousand Oaks is taking applications for spring. Children 9 to 16 learn the fundamentals of springboard diving with competition by age group. This is a year-round program. Information: Bill Douglas at (805) 499-6547.

Moorpark baseball: The Western States Conference preseason tournament continues today at Moorpark College. Moorpark hosts Cerritos at 2 p.m. followed by home games Saturday against Harbor (10 a.m.) and East Los Angeles (2 p.m.). Moorpark College returns to action at home Tuesday at 2 p.m. against Fullerton.

More diving: The Westlake High School boys' diving team is taking sign ups. Practice will start Feb. 22, the season will run through May 14. No experience is necessary. See the school's athletic secretary or call (805) 499-6547.

Water polo: Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is offering adult and youth classes at the Rancho Pool, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Adult classes will be from 6:45 to 8:35 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays, Feb. 18 through April 10. Participants must be 18 or older and able to swim 100 yards. The cost is $42.50.

The youth classes will be from 6:45 to 8:35 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 17 through April 9. Participants must be in eighth grade or lower grades and able to swim 50 yards. The cost is $37.50.
