Women's volleyball: College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  reached the postseason for the first time since the late 1970s. The Cougars, who finished second in the Western State Conference Southern Division with an 8-2 record (10-7 overall), will play at Golden West College tonight at 7.

Football: The Castaic/Santa Clarita Valley Cougars Mity Mite Youth Football team defeated the East Valley Trojans on Sunday in the championship game by a score of 22-0. The Cougars ended the season with an undefeated 9-0 record and the championship title. The defense was dominating, shutting out the Trojans and holding them to a total of 20 yards in total offense. The Cougars are off to Las Vegas to play in the annual Thanksgiving weekend National Tournament to end the season.

These will be the last few games Hart will be playing at Valencia High School. The new Hart gym is nearing completion and is expected to be ready for the Hart Holiday Classic starting Dec. 26.

Baseball: Quartz Hill Pony League will hold early sign-ups from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 at Team Sports Locker, 42301 10th St. W., Lancaster. The league is for ages 13 and 14.
