Witt, a junior outfielder playing in her first season of high school softball, led Louisville to a second-place finish in league play. Chaminade freshman Maureen LeCocq and Louisville sophomore Stefanie Urman were voted the league's co-MVPs among pitchers. Chaminade High School is a Roman Catholic high school for young men in Mineola, New York. In 1930, Alexander Ott, S.M. outfielder Jason Giovannettone has decided to try out for the UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles UCLA University Center for Learning Assistance (Illinois State University) UCLA University of Carrollton, TX and Lower Addison, TX baseball team as a walk-on next fall. Giovannettone batted .368 for the Eagles. He also was an All-Southern Section pick in football, but baseball will be his primary sport. Volleyball honors:Harvard-Westlake's Jason Morrow and Rick Rauth have been selected the co-Players of the Year in volleyball from the Mission League. Funeral for ex-Taft star: Former Taft High track/basketball standout Cornell Hill was killed in an automobile accident earlier this week.
