LOCAL NOTES : CONEJO VALLEY BEATS CAMARILLO IN FINAL.Byline: Darnell Felton Daily News Staff Writer The Conejo Valley The Conejo Valley is a region spanning both Southeastern Ventura County and Northwest Los Angeles County in Southern California, United States. It was discovered in 1542 by Spanish explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, and eventually became part of the Rancho El Conejo land grant by boys' sixth-grade traveling team successfully completed its season by winning the Ventura County Youth Basketball Conference championship. Conejo defeated Camarillo 62-50 at Newbury Park High School. Rob Daniels led all scorers with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Pettit added 12 points and eight rebounds for Conejo.
