Youth soccer: The Valley United Boys Under 15 soccer team finished second in last weekend's Camarillo Eagles Cool Classic Tournament, losing in the 13th minute of overtime to the Redlands Los Guachos Red Team.

Chad Donahue scored two goals in the game and Jacob Boeding put in one. For the tournament, Johann Perez scored three goals, Donahue scored two, and Boeding, Juan Vega and Jared Weinryt put in one apiece.

Baseball: William S. Hart 14-year-olds opened the Simi Valley Invitational with two wins over teams from Mid Valley and Chatsworth. Hart pitchers Jamie Shields, Matt Palmer, Tim Baresi, Matt Friedrichsen, Tim Hutting and Jason Goss limited their opponents to three runs on four hits in both games. Hart generated 38 hits, including home runs by Ryan Haag, Brandon Montemayer and an in-the-park home run by Palmer.

Volleyball: The Master's College will conduct its annual volleyball camp on campus this summer for girls 12 to 17. The program will offer three sessions. An overnight camp will run from July 29 to Aug. 2, and will include three meals a day, lodging in the campus dorms and three periods per day of instruction and tournament play. Another session is planned as a day camp July 29 to Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will include lunch. The final session will be an evening camp from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 5 to 9.
