will host a football bowl game beginning in the fall.

The McDonald's Charity Bowl, as the game will be called, is scheduled for the first Saturday in December. The game is pending approval by the Commission of Athletics (COA (Certificate Of Authenticity) A document that accompanies software which states that it is an original package from the manufacturer. It generally includes a seal with a difficult-to-copy emblem such as a holographic image. ).

``We believe that it is important to our community to host this bowl game,'' said Carder, who is also the school's football coach. ``The bowl game will not only be of help to the football program, but with the graciousness of McDonald's of Antelope Valley, help will be given to deserving charities.''

All profits from the bowl will be donated to the Lancaster and Palmdale Educational Foundations.

The COA bowl committee will determine which teams will play in the game. AVC would probably be one of the teams as long as it has at least seven wins. While the game is not a replacement for the Southern California Bowl, which is hosted by the Foothill Conference Champion, AVC would play in the Charity Bowl should it win the conference title.
