LOCAL HISTORY NOW ON MICROFILM LIBRARY HAS 37 YEARS OF NEWSPAPER'S ARCHIVES.Byline: Naush Boghossian Staff Writer LA CRESCENTA - Local history buffs are in for a treat with new microfilms of old newspapers that document the history of the Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California. Its name derives from its crescent-like shape, with the convex portion facing roughly northeast and the concave portion southwest. from 1929 to 1966. ``It's a nice piece of local history,'' said Sue Renyer, manager of the La Canada County Library, which is temporarily housing the films until the Crescenta Valley Library expands and purchases microfilm A continuous film strip that holds several thousand miniaturized document pages.
