LOCAL COLLEGES : HARVEY LEADS VALLEY OVER WINLESS HARBOR 45-0.

Valley College continued to roll through the Western State Conference Southern Division, piling up 450 yards in total offense in a 45-0 rout of host Harbor on Saturday.

Harbor fell to 0-6 and 0-3.

Valley easily moved the ball, peppering the Seahawks with the running of Harvey and the passing of Dave Lins and Tom Racius.

Lins completed 9 of 14 passes for 123 yards, including touchdown passes of 3 and 11 yards.

Racius completed 3 of 8 passes for 82 yards with touchdown passes of 25 and 53 yards.

Both of Racius' touchdown passes went to Kenyatta Burris, who finished with two receptions for 63 yards.

The Monarchs wasted little time putting the game away, using the running of Harvey to take a 31-0 lead at halftime.

Harvey rushed for 86 yards on eight carries, scoring on runs of 37 and 1 yards.

He set up his last touchdown - a 1-yard dive into the end zone - with a 25-yard reception on a shovel pass from Lins.

Harvey also had a 20-yard punt return In American and Canadian football a punt return is one of the punt receiving team's options to respond to a punt. He hooked up with receiver Randall Lane on a 3-yard fade in the corner of the end zone for the Monarchs' first score and then added an 11-yard touchdown pass to Eric Carpenter.

Aryn Hart completed 7 of 14 passes for 248 yards for Glendale, which has defeated Ventura 12 straight times. The Vaqueros also got a 76-yard touchdown run from Ramone Archie.

 Armis Stokes led all rushers with 162 yards on 26 carries and teammate Jermain Ervin had TD receptions of 7 and 10 yards plus a 4-yard scoring run. Renegades quarterback Nathan Sparks was 11 of 19 for 134 yards, with three TD passes.

McMullen finished with 135 yards on 15-for-29 passing. Jermaine Brooks, the Brahmas' WSC-leading receiver, was held in check most of the night, collecting only four catches for 79 yards.
