LOCAL ATHLETES HONORED WITH SCHOLARSHIPS.

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame recently honored several athletes from the San Fernando, Antelope and Santa Clarita valleys with Scholar-

Athlete awards during a dinner at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City.

Every year, the foundation and hall of fame pay tribute to a select football players for exhibiting superior qualities of scholarship, citizenship and leadership.

Additionally, the foundation recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding support for it and its mission of promoting the game of amateur football.

Among the area athletes honored, two received $1,000 scholarships. They were Derek Ju from Calabasas High School Calabasas High School is a four-year high school, freshman-senior, in Calabasas, California, United States.

Other students honored as scholar-athletes were: Scott Beth from Agoura High School Agoura High School is a four-year high school, freshman-senior, in Agoura Hills, California, United States. It is the largest high school in the Las Virgenes Unified School District, with an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students.  in Agoura Hills. His coach is Charlie Wegher.

Michael Moll from Crespi Carmelite High School Crespi Carmelite High School is a private, Roman Catholic, all-male, four-year college preparatory high school located in Encino, California in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles.  in Encino.

His coach is Jeremiah Ross.
