Charlie Weyer of West Hills won his first BASS tournament by overcoming some of the worst weather he has ever experienced while fishing. Weyer won at Smith Lake in Alabama last weekend and credits his success for having fished at California lakes such as Oroville and Shasta. Those experiences have helped him win when rainstorms flood the lake. ``When the lake rose, the light went on,'' said Weyer.
