NORTH HOLLYWOOD - Friends and family members of some of the Californians killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks gathered at North Hollywood Park Hollywood Park may be several places:

 Team proposed planting trees because ``trees represent life, growth, beauty and longevity,'' officials said.

Los Angeles 1953), member of the Los Angeles City Council representing the 4th district. He has served since 2001, taking over the position upon the death of John Ferraro.  and members of the Los Angeles Police and Fire departments were there to participate in the ceremony.

Organizers planned to plant 85 trees, one for every victim from the Los Angeles area, but they said the list of local victims continues to grow as word of the memorial spreads.
