Emulsion polymerization

Recycled rubber

Innovative breakthroughs in the application of recycled rubber compounds are described in a one-page bulletin. The company has developed a material for the upper air deflector and splash shield for Ford Motor's F-250 Truck Series. The Symar-T material is said to represent a breakthrough in the ability to use a high percentage of recycled content and still meet the tough quality and durability standards at Ford, according to the literature. Symar-T is said to provide the physical characteristics of rubber, including noise and vibration dampening, and sealing, and the appearance and processing advantages of plastics. With Symar-T, costs are contained because of lower cost materials, faster production cycle times and the elimination of batch compounding, according to the literature.
