LIPA graduate wins role as Sean Tully's boyfriend in Coronation Street.
St Helen's-born Andrew Langtree plays Leon, a gay bodybuilder who Sean Tully and Jason Grimshaw have met at the gym.
And after several weeks in the show he will be returning to LIPA in the autumn to share his experiences with the organisation's undergraduates He says: "It's fantastic being in Coronation Street, I've never done anything before that gets seven million regular viewers.
"The actors are the best possible people to work with, there are no egos in the green room, they are all there for the good of the show."
Langtree is working alongside other former LIPA student Rachel Leskovac, who plays hairdresser Natasha.
After graduating in 1998, he was cast as Sky in the original stage version of Mama Mia.
He says: "it can be a tough profession and talking to someone who has been through the process can be of real benefit."
