LINK, HOOKS AND BRADSHAW ELECTED TO NORCACHA POSITIONS

 CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 30 ~PRNewswire~ -- It was confirmed today that Edwin A. Link of First Union National Bank-Charlotte has been elected Chairman of the Board for the North Carolina Automated Clearing House Association, Inc. (NorCACHA). Also elected were Ashley T. Hooks of Branch Banking & Trust-Wilson and Michael R. Bradshaw of Citizens Savings Bank-Newton who will serve as Vice President and Treasurer respectively. The election occurred during the recent NorCACHA Board of Directors Meeting that was held in Monroe, N.C.
 NorCACHA, headquartered in Charlotte, is a trade association whose members represent 141 North Carolina financial institutions. The association's objective is to aggressively foster and support the growth of electronic transactions within the North Carolina financial institution community in order to promote a more efficient and effective automated payments system.
