LIN TV to Sell Licenses for 700 MHz.

), a television, digital media and online news company, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Aloha Partners, L.P. ("Aloha") to sell 32 lower 700MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  licenses for an aggregate purchase price of $32.5 million in cash. The closing, which is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2007, is contingent upon approval of the FCC (1) (Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC, www.fcc.gov) The U.S. government agency that regulates interstate and international communications including wire, cable, radio, TV and satellite. The FCC was created under the U.S. .

The licenses are in the lower 700 MHz "C" Block and are clustered in Northeast and Upper Midwest markets, in addition to markets in South Central Texas.
