       LIGGETT AND TOBACCO WORKERS UNION AGREE TO CONTRACT TERMS
    DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the negotiating team of Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Workers Union Local No. 176-T and Liggett Group Inc. management reached an agreement on terms of a new three-year contract this weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina after a week of negotiations.
    "The contract addresses the needs of the tobacco workers and management in terms of our needs for growth," said Jim Totty, Vice President of Product Assurance and Operations.  "We are pleased that the contract represents a win-win situation for everyone involved," Totty commented.
    A meeting to ratify the new contract by union membership will be held Sunday, November 24 at 2 p.m. in the Rogers-Herr Middle School auditorium, at which time terms of the contract will be made public.
