Liam desperately wants to play for Birmingham City, but rivals Aston Villa and West Bromwich West Bromwich (brŭm`ĭj, –ĭch, brŏm`wĭch), city (1991 pop. 146,386), Sandwell metropolitan district, W central England.  Albion have tempted the young talent by including him in their development sides.

Proud mom Lisa Trewartha, 27, of Telford, said her son lives for football and plays six days a week for different teams.

She's sure he has a bright future in the game and hopes St Andrew's scouts will eventually make her son's dream of a football career at Blues come true.

Miss Trewartha said: "At the moment he plays for Oakengates Rangers and his school. But he has also turned out for Villa and West Bromwich Albion development centres and a Shrewsbury Town boys' side.

"When he's not on the pitch he enjoys football games on his computer or being out in the garden kicking a ball around."

His mother said Liam takes after dad Jamie, formerly from Chelmsley Wood Chelmsley Wood is a neighbourhood and large housing estate in the North of the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull, in the West Midlands area, with a population of approximately 40,000. It is located near Birmingham International Airport and the National Exhibition Centre. , who is also a Blues fanatic. Younger brother Jamie is also a promising footballer who has attracted the attention of top clubs' development centres - even though he's just eight.

Lisa added: "Liam's dad takes him to all the Blues matches and he is a real supporter. They travel to all the home games and Liam really looks forward to seeing his favourite team in action.

"Liam is a gifted footballer and we are all hoping that someone from Blues will see his videos. His brother Jamie is also a great footballer and we are very proud of them both."

Liam turned down the chance to play at Villa's academy because he was desperate to sign for Blues. "He stopped going to Villa because, as a die-hard Blues fan, he didn't hard Blues fan, he didn't like it. However, he is still going to the Baggies and playing for his school and local side," said Lisa.

Liam said: "It is my dream to play for Birmingham City and I hope the videos will help to get me noticed."
