LI exec gets Adelphi award.


Adelphi University Adelphi University (ədĕl`fī), at Garden City, N.Y.; coeducational; chartered 1896 as Adelphi College. Originally in Brooklyn, the school moved to its present location in 1929 and in 1963 achieved university status.  will honor Patrick S. Smalley, executive vice president of Fairhaven Properties Inc. and The Garden City Hotel, with the 2005 President's Award The President's Award may mean:
  • Gaisce - The President's Award, Republic of Ireland
  • NAACP Image Award - President's Award, United States
  • Rashtrapati Award - Award given by the President of India (Rashtrapati is Hindi for President)
 for Outstanding Achievement and Friendship to Adelphi at its 17th Annual Golf Classic, on Monday, September 26 at the Cherry Valley Cherry Valley can refer to several places:

  • Cherry Valley, Pennsylvania
  • Cherry Valley (town), New York site of the Cherry Valley massacre
 Club in Garden City, N.Y. Two shotguns are scheduled at 7:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the presentation of the award. Proceeds from the event will benefit student athletic scholarships. Last year's event raised $100,000 in scholarship support.

As executive vice president of Fairhaven Properties Inc. and The Garden City Hotel, Mr. Smalley advises ownership on organizational, financial and market strategies and the implementation of major decisions concerning direction, asset management, capital formation, resource allocation resource allocation Managed care The constellation of activities and decisions which form the basis for prioritizing health care needs  and new business opportunities.

Mr. Smalley is a member of the Adelphi University Alumni Association An alumni association is an association of graduates (alumni) or, more broadly, of former students. In the United Kingdom and the United States, alumni of universities, colleges, schools (especially independent schools), fraternities, and sororities often form groups with alumni  executive board and chairman of its financial resources committee. He holds a B.A. degree from Adelphi University.
