 Allgon, a leading supplier of cost-effective products and solutions to improve radio coverage, capacity and data speed in mobile communications networks, was awarded a contract to provide a turnkey indoor distributed antenna system As defined by PCIA - the Wireless Infrastructure Association, and it's DAS Forum, A Distributed Antenna System ,or DAS, is a network of spatially separated antenna nodes connected to a common source via a transport medium that provides wireless service within a geographic area or  to improve wireless phone and data coverage for Moscone West, the expansion of San Francisco's premier exhibition and conference facility, the Moscone Center The Moscone Center is San Francisco, California's largest convention and exhibition complex. The complex consists of two main underground halls underneath Yerba Buena Gardens, Moscone North and Moscone South, as well the three-level Moscone West exhibition hall across 4th Street. . InSite Wireless, a leading supplier providing operation and maintenance of multi-carrier systems in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. , responsible for leasing wireless capacity in the facility, awarded the contract to LGP Allgon.

The new contract enables LGP Allgon to extend its original system installed at the Moscone Center in 2001 to cover Moscone West. The original system was designed to support multiple wireless service providers and technologies, and is now used by each of the major wireless carriers serving the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  area. The system will also be used to support WiFi services planned for launch in January 2004. Like the original system, the new system planned for Moscone West can be upgraded to encompass additional providers and technologies as required.

Along with repeaters and coverage products, the contract also includes system design, project management, operations and maintenance for five years. The NOC staff performs ongoing optimization, operations, maintenance and repair of critical network elements including antennas and base station equipment. This is supplemented with training for client's internal network operations and support staff.
